Pictures of Downtown Durham

Picture or One City Center, which I really like! The smaller tower I usually refer to as 21C but curious what others use...

Ok here is the most interesting part to me, the roof top deck of the unscripted hotel has a road to no where?  did there used to be a bridge across the road to where One City Center was? So funny looking now.

That does look really strange. It would look slightly less strange if the didn't paint the arrows on there, but the fact that it is an upward slope still makes it look pretty odd.

I used to work there! The building is currently rented out almost entirely by Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), and they have the "signage rights" to the building, but Wikipedia is correct that the name of the building itself is still technically "City Centre", although most people I've known call it something similar to you, like "the Duke research building".

I know DCRI was/is planning to occupy a large part of some building that was/is being built nearby, I think maybe in the Durham Innovation District (DID / Durham.ID, or whatever they are calling it)?

Great photos by the way! I also like One City Center a lot. Hope to continue to see densification in downtown. Would like to be able to live somewhere walkable in DT Durham in the future

I am hoping this will serve as a good "before" photo as well if/when that mall gets redeveloped.
