I’m curious if a knowledgeable poster here can shed some light on this. If we take, for example, the new building that Longfellow is going to construct off Morgan St. The development request was originally submitted June 24 of last year, nearly 9 months ago. The ATC expansion plan has been under review for going on a year.
I assume there is dialogue between the developer and the planning department during this time. What sort of things are they addressing? How long “should” a major development request take to approve? Is Durham an outlier or is this process typical of mid-size cities?
Appreciate any insight as I’m quite curious about how this process plays out.
