This was a really nice post. I like the "hardware - software" analogy.

As a non-Lakewood resident, it does seem (at least from the outside) that residents and businesses of Lakewood are generally taking the right approach to community and neighborhood development in the face of massive urban growth.

Thanks! Yeah, I will say of course that Lakewood has a wide range of opinions when it comes to growth as do most neighborhoods outside of downtown. That said, there is a great contingent of individuals and businesses leaders here.
