Heard Austin Lawrence Partners finally released the design for the South Bank Building and came here to see how long ago the thread started. Which to my surprise, it had not, so
here we go.
I only 50% remember the original renderings, but I think it looks similar. Great use of space on such a big block, and if I'm seeing it correctly, this building will only take up half the plot (looks like a ghost rendering behind it in a couple images). Great move for density and another tower!
Here's The N&O saying delivered in 2024. I thought I heard construction starting this winter, but can't find/confirm that right now.
EDIT - just saw zillow renderings in the Five Points Redevelopment thread. My bad!
