Spring Hill Suites Downtown Durham

Was driving past on my way home to Chapel Hill and it looks like the they started clearing the land to start hotel construction. While not a high rise or super fancy I am glad to get some more construction on the other side of 147 and we need more hotels walking distance of downtown, or at least the ATC. My co workers who come in town often have trouble getting hotel rooms, especially when there is a DPAC event! It’s a good problem to have and means more tax revenue coming in.

I hope they fix sidewalks and pedestrian right of ways because this could help a lot redevelop and make a more dense area here.

Cool photo! Looks like it's coming along. With DHA's future redevelopment of the nearby affordable housing and the "will they, won't they" redevelopment of heritage square, the soutside area could look very different pretty soon.

Drove by today and snapped some pics of foundations and stairways going up!
