New 30 story tower for Durham?

It looks like they submitted things to the city last week for the McDonald's plot. The application describes the project as "225 multi units with associated amenitites and infrastructure." My immediate reactions is that's too much for a six-story building on a plot of that size, but I'm guessing the plot is bigger than I fully realize and maybe they're also lots of very small studios?

Liberty Warehouse is 247 units, and its footprint isn't that much larger than the McDonald's lot surprisingly. Hopefully this means they plan to build few parking to maximize units? One can dream.

It is a six story mid-rise with one retail spot at the corner. I saw the plans.

That is really disappointing. Most of the building will be a wall to pedestrians and it isnt even compensated for by height and housing units.
