I love these -- even though they make me slightly motion sick!! They'll also be great for my class...newcomers...and those of us who are nostalgic.

@Charles Becker - thanks. Hopefully they don't make you too sick! But I thought it might be a fun way to "preserve the past" a little. Not everyone is as nerdy as I am (and elevatoroperator) and will take the time to explore these images in Streetview.

This is VERY cool.  Nice work!

I just wish there was a way to go back further in time, such as before Durham 'revitalization' took place and we lost so many cool, old properties.  If you had the right angle would it be possible to combine more recent images with non-Google Streetview images as well?

Thanks Jon - if the angles were pretty close, you could definitely do this.

Or if a photographer took old photos and tried to get a shot at the exact same angle, that could work as well.
