Apple Expansion in RTP

Apple announced this morning that they plan to expand into RTP. A campus with ~3,000 employees.

This really is a tipping point for the region. With Apple and Google making investments of this magnitude and the well-documented explosion in biotech/life sciences RTP really has an opportunity to cement its status as one of the top innovation hubs in the country full stop. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

Totally agree. I’m a software engineer and this is a game changer for the triangle's tech scene. I wish they were coming to downtown Durham like Google, but that’s just not Apple’s style. Super excited to see other big names follow suit in the years ahead.

They're gonna hire 3k emplyees and there will def be some employees who will chose to live in Durham. Durham is underrated in proximity to RTP (downtown as well) as opposed to the longer commute from Raleigh.

This is incredible news and the flood gates have well and truly opened up now.
