A Look at Downtown Goldsboro

Not much time to comment--just wanted to say I appreciated the post. I really like to see to see even these small towns trying to ramp up their walkability and sense of shared public space. Nearly everyone will still have to drive into "downtown"/"Main street" in these towns, but at least once they're there they can walk to and from different destinations, and that's the first step. No more driving to one store, then driving the next, then to dinner, then to get ice cream, ad infinitum.

I am certainly rooting for Goldsboro and you are absolutely right, people have to drive to get there (they have angled spaces downtown), but definitely walkable once you get there. I hope the economic conditions and the entrepreneurial spirit that I found there are enough!
